The destruction of the largest depo of Taliban explosives and weapons in Helmand

The National Directorate of Security (NDS) has announced by releasing a newsletter that the special forces of NDS were able to seize a large-scale of explosives and weapons stock of Taliban group in Helmand Province, which was destroyed by its special forces. According to the newsletter: “Special forces of the National Directorate of Security (NDS), was able to seize a big stock of Taliban while they launch a targeted operation on the headquarters of Mohammad Khan, the Taliban’s district chief in the Gandom area of Kajaki district, the force managed to eliminate the largest stockpiles of the group during this operation. In the course of the operation, seven Taliban militants were killed, 21,000 kilograms of explosives, one rocket gun, four 303 weapons, one Kalashnikov miss, 50 mines of SPG9, 300 rocket launchers RPG7, two anti-personnel mine mines, two missiles, and ID card of the Pakistan citizen, and more than 150,000 bullets and some military equipment by the forces involved in the operation. ”
The National Directorate of Security (NDS) said that while the group has been in several provinces, the Taliban have been in the process of destroying the largest reservoir of explosives and weapons. In the most recent case, the Taliban were able to seize the military operation in Ghosh Tīpeh district. Nevertheless, the National Directorate of Security (NDS) is optimistic that the destruction of the largest Taliban stockpile in Helmand will slow the movement of the group in the south.
