The government strives to unify the status of all sides in the peace process

The presidential palace of Afghanistan has published a newsletter that president Ghani hosted a meeting with jihadist and political figures of the country this afternoon. Presidential Palace Newsletter added: “in this meeting president Ghani hosted political and Jihadi figures, to discuss the current efforts of peace talks in the country. The president hosted toad former President Hamid Karzai, Abdul Rab Rassoul Sayyaf former Jihadi leader, Mohammad Sarwar Danish second vice president, Abdullah Abdullah National unity government Chief Executive, and Karim Khalili High Peace Council head.”
The presidential palace newsletter also highlighted: “In this meeting, the president and the political and jihadist figures, discussed all the issues related to the Afghan people and the new realities of Afghanistan that can improve their representation in the peace process. During the meeting, all sides negotiated peace talks in connection with the formation of a united point of view on behalf of Peace Talks.”
The newsletter has been released while the former president is expected to meet with some other political figures in Qatar with Taliban political office members this month. The visit will take place in the framework of the second meeting intra-Afghan peace talks Taliban and political figures of the country, a case that the Taliban have announced, they are ready to host Afghan official as individuals not delegations of the government.
