The latest warning of Atta Mohammad Noor to Presidential Palace

Atta Mohammad Noor, the former governor of Balkh, in a meeting with the presidential candidate Hanif Atmar, said: “If the central government does not respond positively to the proposals submitted by him and would not fulfill their obligations as the high ranking authorities in the presidential palace, which were already given to us, We use all the tools that we have in hand, we expect that our proposals must be implemented at the earliest opportunity by the president of Afghanistan.
According to sources close to Mr. Noor, he once again emphasized on his proposal that the newly appointed Balkh commander should be dismissed as soon as possible, replacing him the former commander of Afghan army Special Forces, Jalaluddin Yaftali. In addition, Mr. Noor has warned that if the options offered for appointment to the Balkh Police Command were not be selected as a Balkh Police Chief, they will use all the options that they have in hand and they will react.
This year, however, the Interior Ministry deposed Balkh police commander a year ago and replaced Abdul Raqib Mobariz as the new Balkh Police Chief. A case that increased tensions between Mr. Ata Mohammad Noor’s and the presidential palace, in addition to reports during these clashes which caused military clashes at least 3 policemen were killed and more than 10 others were wounded.
