The National Security Advisor confirmed direct engagements with Taliban at quadripartite Summit

Hamdullah Mohib, National Security Council advisor of Afghanistan has, reported in a twitter message that the quadripartite meeting has been held in the UAE, and reported that he was interacting with insurgent representatives directly.
Mr. Mohib has added to his Twitter page: “Thanks to the UAE for hosting the fourth session of the quadrilateral meeting on Sunday between Afghanistan, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and the United States of America. We discussed the peace plan presented by President Ghani at the Geneva Summit and the direct engagement of the Afghan government with the Taliban to launch talks between Afghan government and Taliban leading this process in an afghan own environment.
Meanwhile The Taliban group has confirmed participation of their representatives in the second round of talks with the United States by publishing an statement.
