President Ghani issued a mandated decree introducing Sayed Esmatullah Mal, Maulana Mohammad Abdullah, Awrang Zaib, Mohammad Hanif Danishyar, Musafer Qoqandi, Hawa Alam Nuristani and Rahima Zarif as Electoral Commissioners for five years and Mohammad Qasim Elyasi, Zohra Shinvari , Mawlawi din Mohammad Azimi, Mohammad Younus Toghra and Sayed Qotbuddin Roydar for three and five years as Electoral Complaints Commissioners.

In this decree, President Ghani introduced Habib Rahman Nang as the head of the Independent Election Commission’s secretary office and Chaman Shah E’temadi as head of the Electoral Complaints Commission secretariat. 14 new electoral commissions were elected on Friday following a voting process of 17 presidential candidates and they were selected from 81 candidates. Election commissioners are expected to elect their managing board in their meeting, the chairman and the board of directors of the two electoral bodies through the elections.
