The High Peace Council has reported that the possibility of delay in holding the Peace Consultative Loya Jirga. Sayed Ehsan Taheri, a spokesman for the Afghan high peace council, said in a video message that the air conditions are likely to be the reason for delaying this summit. Mr. Taheri adds: “For this meeting that inclusiveness and full participation of Afghan society delegations are a matter of fact, there may be a delay in holding Consultative Loya Jirga. Since climate change has made it difficult for all Afghan people representatives from around the country to attend this Jirga, the High Peace Council will review the concept of delay in holding this summit, and the next results will soon be shared with the media and Afghan citizens. ”

A consultative Loya Jirga meeting was scheduled to determine the road map for the government to talk with the Taliban on the 26th of the current month, with the High Peace Council secretariat and a neutral committee responsible for organizing the meeting. At least 2000 people from around Afghanistan were expected to attend this Loya Jirga, representing 30% of the participants as women. In addition, it was said that the presidency of the Loya Jirga would be preceded by former President Hamid Karzai and former jihadi commander Abdul Rab Rasoul Sayaf.
