The presidential election process officially ended

The Afghan Independent Election Commission (IEC) has announced that the presidential election process has officially ended. Hawa Alam Nuristani, head of the IEC, said the presence of citizens at polling stations was widespread, and the organization was able to use the biometric system in 98.8 percent of polling stations. Nuristani also added that 99.8 percent of security forces were present at polling stations.
She also thanked the Afghan citizens, media and Afghan security and defense forces for taking part in the process and going to the polling stations to elect the upcoming president of Afghanistan.
