After launching a massive demonstration by presidential candidate’s council in Ghazi Stadium of Kabul, the Presidential Palace has reacted on this issue. Shah Hussein Mortazawi, a deputy spokesman for the presidential palace, has said in a video message: “The speeches of the candidates and the presidential candidates’ counsel did not mention anything new at this conference, and all of these issues was the pre-election campaign that the candidates discussed them during this demonstration. We urge the responsible authorities to pay attention to these kinds of gatherings that have a compassionate nature.”
Meanwhile, the presidential candidates’ council insisted on the end of the National Unity Government work and called Mohammed Ashraf Ghani, the former president of Afghanistan. The council also called on Mr. Ghani to step down from his candidacy, or he must continue as head of caretaker government. In addition, presidential candidates called for the establishment of a neutral mechanism by the government to hold the election process in a transparent and impartial manner all around the country.
