The protest of Kabul residents due to delayed of parliamentary elections results in the province

Dozens of the capital residents launched a peaceful protest rally against the Electoral Complaints Commission. Protesters at the rally with slogans “Do not take hostage our Votes” called on the Electoral Complaints Commission to announce the results of the parliamentary elections as soon as possible. Protesters also said that if the new parliament would be inaugurated without Kabul representatives, they will never accept such a parliament.
The protest ran against the Electoral Complaints Commission, which the government announced that the new parliament will open on Saturday, but the parliament will open without the presence of Kabul and Maidan Wardak representatives. Meanwhile, the Independent Election Commission and the Electoral Complaints Commission have announced that the results of the Kabul parliamentary election are scheduled to be announced in the upcoming two weeks.
