The disputes between the United States and China made the United Nations extend its mission from one year to six months. While in the past three years, the mission has been extended to three years. Jonathan Cohen, head of the ambassador to the United Nations Security Council, accused China of celebrating the project (a belt of a way).
He also added that China wants to include the issue of the project (a belt of a way) in Afghanistan. And the project suffers from problems such as corruption, lack of transparency and environmental damage. But the deputy ambassador to China, Mr. Hytaw, described Jonathan Cohen’s words as contradictory to the facts.
China, meanwhile, read the “One Way Belt” project on a nonviolent initiative and create new business opportunities through major infrastructure programs such as airfields and roads. More than 123 countries have signed cooperation agreements with China on this project.
