The Taliban group have published a newsletter that the only precondition of the group to the participant (American officials and representatives of Arab countries) of the meeting in Abu Dhabi summit is the withdrawal of foreign troops from Afghanistan. Zabihullah Mujahid said in the newsletter: “At the meetings in Abu Dhabi, where the three Islamic countries were also present, the main focus of our delegation was on the withdrawal of foreign troops from Afghanistan. Representatives of the Islamic Emirate submitted their documents and evidence on behalf of unrelieved bombings and civilian casualties and called for immediate stopping of these bombings. In addition, the human encounter with prisoners and the issue of their release was discussed at the meeting.”
In this newsletter, Zabihullah Mujahid also wrote: “The position of the Islamic Emirate regarding the ceasefire, talks with the Kabul government, interim government, elections, and other domestic issues has already been made clear, and until foreign troops withdraw from Afghanistan, they are standing in the same position.”
Mr. Mujahid also said that the two sides will speak with their leadership about holding future summits and concluding these preconditions. Some Taliban officials told Pakistani media one day ago, that if they guarantee the leadership of the new government for Taliban, they would announce a six-month ceasefire to allover of Afghanistan.
