Saudi Arabian media say 35 Arab pilgrims were killed in a traffic accident in the city of Medina and four others were injured. The incident happened yesterday (Wednesday 16 October), when the Arab pilgrim’s car collided a heavy vehicle and then set fire to it. Most of the dead were pilgrims from Asian countries, according to Arab media.
Saudi security officials said the wounded were taken to the hospital (al-Hamna) and investigations into the incident have begun.
Earlier that month, 100 people were killed when a construction crane toppled into a courtyard of Mecca’s Grand Mosque
