The MDHI has announced that they were able to transfer 5 new MD 530 F Cayuse light Helicopters for the Afghan army in Kandahar Airbase. According to the newsletter released by MD Manufacturing company, these are a part of 5 years’ contract that first 10 helicopters of the same model were delivered to Afghan Airforce in September 2017.

“It is an honor to deliver these first five of 30 new Cayuse Warrior aircraft to the Afghan Air Force in support of their vigilant efforts to protect their country and their citizens in the global fight against terror,” said Lynn Tilton, Chief Executive Officer for MD Helicopters, Inc. “As a proud American manufacturer of the world’s most beloved airframe, our respect for the warfighter and our commitment to delivering effective and efficient attack helicopter solutions is unmatched.”

It is expected that the Afghan army would receive at least 150 Helicopters of MD in upcoming years and it is called an efficient light Aircraft in the fight against terrorism.
