Tumor surgery is now possible in Afghanistan

The Afghanistan Ministry of Public Health has announced that brain tumor surgery operations are now possible to carry out inside the country. The MoPH newsletter reclaims that tumor surgery operations were not possible in Afghanistan for last 18 years and Afghan citizens had to travel to foreign countries, but now these operations could be carried out at Sheikh Zahid Hospital.
the newsletter also adds that recently after diagnosis of a brain tumor in the head of a young 30-year-old man from Takhar province, he was admitted to the mentioned hospital in Kabul, and his surgery was done in Sheikh Zahid Hospital’s Neurosurgery Service.
The Ministry of Public Health also added that the patient has a good health condition and was discharged from the hospital after consulting the doctors.
