Turkey has announced that since 2002, Turkey has appointed 63 women as its ambassadors around the world.

According to Turkish media reports, in 2002 the number of Turkish women ambassadors was 14, compared with 2012 their number raised to 20 ambassadors. In 2016, Turkey assigned thirty-seven women as ambassadors in the countries of the world, and now in 2019 this number has raised to 63 women all around the globe. In addition, Turkish officials have announced that, since 2012, at least 575 women were appointed as diplomats, but in 2019 this figure had increased to 622 diplomats.

It is also said that in 2019, Turkey will increase the number of its embassies and consulates from 163 to 242 embassies and consulates around the world and also they will try to increase the number of women diplomats as well
