The US Army has released a newsletter that at least two US soldiers have been killed in Afghanistan during a military operation today, Friday. Although no details have been provided in the newsletter about the place of the event and the names of the soldiers killed, US officials have stated that the two were killed in a face-to-face battle with the terrorists.

At least 2,400 US troops have been killed in the battle with the Taliban and other terrorist groups since the creation of an interim government in Afghanistan so far. Currently, 14,000 US troops are operating within the framework of Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan, whose mission, in addition to launching military operations against terrorists, is to train, advise and assist the country’s security forces.
