Two women police personnel have shot dead by unidentified gunmen in southern Kandahar province this morning.
The police officers have been targeted in a crowded area close to Madad Chawk, a Kandahar city.
A security official in Kandahar told BNA correspondent, Robena and Farzan the two women police officers have worked in police chief of Kandahar province.
Based on reports, the attackers succeeded to flee from the area and police personnel is searching to identify and capture them.
No individual or group has commented regarding the incident so far, but local officials called that Taliban fighters are responsible for the event.
