United Nations: 2018 Death of the year’s worst year for civilians in Afghanistan

According to new United Nations reports, in 2018, 3,804 civilians were killed include of 972 children in Afghanistan. Which is the highest recorded in Afghanistan’s long war.
This is when the Afghan war began after US forces launched a Taliban downturn following the September 11, 2001 attacks. This report was issued one day before the next round of talks to end the war in Afghanistan.
A special envoy, Zalmay Khalilzad, is expected to meet with Taliban negotiators in Qatar on Monday.
