Warning of boycotting the election by the Presidential Election Council

The Presidential Candidate Council warns by releasing a newsletter that if the government does not endorse the plan proposed by the council to form a provisional government or supervisor, all the presidential candidates will boycott the upcoming election. It is written in the newsletter that if the electoral commissions do not act on the basis of the law, the council will discourage them. In addition, the council warns that any government elections in any post will be unlawful after 2018, and if this trend continues, the government will be pushing for the election engineering the elections and this act would be an attempt of orchestrating the upcoming elections.
The council continues to emphasize that the Afghan government should not provide new opportunities for fraud, and the leaders of the national unity government should obey the wishes of all presidential candidates as soon as possible. So far the presidency has not voiced its views on this issue.
