Afghan former President Hamid Karzai’s media office has announced that today, Mr. Karzai has met with a number of women from all over Afghanistan. According to Mr. Karzai’s public relations Office twitter, “a number of leading women from various provinces of Afghanistan met with the former president. In addition to strongly supporting the process of peace talks, they emphasized that the 18-years Afghan achievements, especially women’s rights, should be maintained in these talks. ”

This visit is taking place in time that, currently it is scheduled that Afghan politicians will attend the second round negotiating with Taliban delegation in Qatar, which will take place on 14th of April under the leadership of Hamid Karzai. Meanwhile, the media office of Hamid Karzai has announced earlier that preparations have been made for the second round of intra- Afghan peace talks between Taliban and Political parties, but the High Peace Council of Afghanistan urged Mr. Karzai to delay this meeting until  29 of April.
