Reporter: Shaker Sangi
The Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid has announced that the group’s fighters have not decided to have a ceasefire in Eid Days. According to a Taliban newsletter, it has stated: “An audio tape runs on social media where the ceasefire is spoken. This tape is not new and it doesn’t belongs to this year, but it is an audio tape of last year’s cease-fire. Hope, the media and social media activists will not be wrong in this regard. ”
A day ago, a number of political figures who met with the Taliban leadership in Moscow ask the group to end the war and hold a ceasefire during Eid days. Meanwhile, the Taliban, in a resolution released yesterday, emphasized that all sides had spoken about the cease-fire, but it’s still unclear whether this group will cease fire.
