Zabihullah Mujahid: The Top ISIS-K leaders were rescued by US forces from Taliban siege in Kunar

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid claimed that after a heavy battle between Taliban militants and ISIL fighters, a dozen US troopers and helicopters were able to rescue ISIS-K fighters, their guests and also amount of their ammunition and equipment a day ago with the support of a number of ground-based forces in Kunar province. Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid quoted as saying that the Taliban had been surrounded ISIS-K fighters in the Kirchando area and Mazardara areas of Noorgal district in Kunar eastern Afghanistan.
Mr. Mujahid has also claimed that these fighters have been transferred to safe haven and bases of Americans in the eastern part of the country. The spokesman for the Taliban also claimed that the ISIS-K had been rescued several times from the Taliban siege, and the aim was to continue the fighting in Afghanistan. This claim comes at a time when the Afghan government and the US forces have not expressed their views on this.
