Zalmai Khalilzad met Indian foreign minister

Zalmay Khalilzad, a special envoy of the United States for Afghan Peace during his seventh visit to Afghanistan and the countries of the region, met with a number of Indian officials, including Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj, on Afghan Peace.
Indian media said that the main focus of the visit was the role of the countries of the region in the establishment of peace in Afghanistan. Indian media have reported that the United States Special Envoy for Peace in Afghanistan has provided information on how the peace talks in Qatar progress for the foreign minister.
Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj has announced his country’s efforts and cooperation on Afghan peace. Meanwhile, the sixth round of talks between US deputies and the Taliban is resumed for the fifth day after a day of interruption due to the start of the holy month of Ramadan.
