Explosion in Afghanistan kills three, Taliban resumed the war

An explosion in Khost province killed three people and wounded 11 more on Monday (2 March). The blast comes two days after the end of the violence in Afghanistan.

A senior US military official said in a statement after the blast that the Taliban attack showed that peace in Afghanistan would go a long way.

US Secretary of Defense Mark Sperry said it will take some time for global peace to come, and we will have a bent and twisted path to peace.

A US-Taliban peace deal was signed between Zalmay Khalilzad and Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar this Saturday (29 February).

Prior to signing the US agreement, the Taliban had to implement a week of violence reduction in Afghanistan to know their intention to achieve peace. Two days have passed since the violence erupted in Afghanistan, and the Taliban have resumed their war against the Afghan security forces and the people.
