Heavy Taliban casualties as a result of security forces operations in ten provinces

Security officials say 56 Taliban insurgents have been killed and wounded in joint operations by security forces in ten provinces over the past 24 hours.

The National Directorate of Security (NDS) wrote in a newsletter: “As a result of joint operations by the ANA, ANP and the NDS in Kabul, Kunar, Logar, Khost, Herat, Helmand, Baghlan, Faryab, Badghis and Uruzgan provinces, 32 terrorists were killed.” “Taliban were killed and 24 others were wounded.”

“As a result of these operations, 13 terrorists belonging to the Taliban and the Haqqani Network have been arrested by the country’s security forces,” the statement added.

The statement also said that 52 Taliban attacks were prevented in these operations, 14 bases and positions of the group were destroyed, and 17 intermediaries and their ammunition fell into the hands of the country’s security forces.
