More than 44 Taliban killed in two province of Afghanistan
Security officials in the north of the country say 19 Taliban insurgents have been killed and 25 others wounded in five operations by security forces in Jawzjan and Balkh provinces.
The 209th Shaheen Corps wrote in a press release: “As a result of five operations by security forces in the district (Mangajak and Mardian of Jawzjan province) and districts (Dolatabad, Nahr Shahi, Shortpeh of Balkh province and on the Sarpol-Jawzjan highway) 19 Taliban insurgents were killed and 25 others were wounded. »
“As a result of the air strikes, several important Taliban bases have been destroyed and more than 11 villages have been cleared of terrorists,” the statement added.
The statement added: “Two security personnel were killed and two others were wounded in the operation, which did not harm civilians.”
