Saleh: The Taliban have blown up their hands at Kabul University
The first vice president says the attackers on Kabul University blew their hands “with a hand grenade”.
Amrullah Saleh, the country’s first vice president, wrote on his Facebook page Monday (November 9, 2020): “From this, they will eliminate the footprints and the stability of their fingers.”
Mr. Saleh added: “The professional suspicion is that these people have already been arrested for committing a crime and have been biometric. Efforts are still being made, relying on advanced technology and the help of our foreign allies, to do something to identify the bodies and make other progress.” Operational immunity and research cannot be disclosed at this stage.
Armed assailants attacked Kabul University on Monday last week, killing 22 people, most of the students, and wounding 27 others, according to the Interior Ministry. Amrullah Saleh said 40 people were injured in the attack.
Although ISIK has officially claimed responsibility for the attack, senior Afghan government officials have blamed the Taliban. The Taliban, however, has denied any involvement in the attack.
