The Making of “Parasite” – the first foreign film to win an Academy Award for Best Picture

The Korean film Parasite (Parasite) shone with four major awards at the Oscars. The film simultaneously won an Academy Award for Best Picture and an Academy Award for Best Non-English Language Film, an unprecedented success for a non-Hollywood film.

The film’s creator, Bong Joon, also won an Academy Award for Best Director, while Sam Mendes, creator of “2”, Irish director Martin Scorsese, and director “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” fiercely competed for the award. Scriptwriter Han Jin Won didn’t go unnoticed and won the Academy Award for Best Nonfiction Script.
