US: Afghan political leaders should think about peace, not election
The US State Department has urged the country’s political leaders to carry out their activities calmly and avoid forming parallel governments.
The ministry has issued a statement saying that concerns about Ashraf Ghani’s run-off in the presidential election have increased and should be addressed within the law.
The ministry has emphasized the need for a comprehensive government based on the will of the Afghan people.
The announcement also adds that now is the time for peace to come, so thank you for not thinking about election programs, and we thank the Presidency for agreeing to delay the inauguration.
