Security officials in Faryab have announced that ten Taliban insurgents were killed and wounded in a clash between security forces and the Taliban. The Faryab Police command newsletter has reported that the fighters had been killed in an air strike which targets Taliban outpost in the village of Alti Bolek, of Qoromqol district, it is said that during this air strike seven Taliban militants were killed and three others got wounded.

Faryab security officials have claimed that during the operation, the amount of ammunition and weapons of the Taliban have been completely eliminated. Faryab local officials speak of Taliban deaths and wounds in the province in a time, that the group has been further expanding their activates in Faryab in the past few days.
