Reporters have been the basic element of freedom of speech and voice, and are always in the process of making accurate information for the citizens of the country, but it is always the cowardly enemies of the country in an attempt to destroy and silencing these voices. Journalists who have never been dismissed have always been seeking timely, accurate, and accurate information.

Today (30 April) is equal to the day of the testimony of journalists who lost their lives in the suicide attack of in Shash Darak of Kabul.

At a ceremony, today to commemorate the tomb of (shash darak) martyrs from TV-1, dr. Abdullah Abdullah, the country’s Chief Executive Officer, national security advisor, Interior Minister, State Attorney General, and a number of journalists at the ceremony they had. “The attack on journalists is not accidental, but conscious, the enemy has been interacting with him so as not to allow journalists to be informed,” said Mr. Abdullah.

In the following, National Security Advisor Hamdullah Mohib said: “The journalists are the documentary historians who pursue a goal with the security forces.”

Mr. Mohib emphasized that journalistic security is important to the government and we are committed to this.

In his speech, Masoud Andarabi, the head of the interior ministry of the country, expressed his support for and protection of the values ​​of freedom of expression. Mr. Andarabi added that the security forces would not be happy to cooperate with reporters.

These words are said to have been expressed by journalists as insulting, defaming, threatening death, and calling on the government to maintain their lives.

Statistics show that 2017 and 2018 were also the bloodiest year for reporters. The Afghan journalists’ immunity committee announced that 20 media workers were killed and more than 60 others were wounded this year.

Meanwhile, a reporter or sponsor of the Afghan media, a few months ago, reported that journalists’ casualties during the were more than 4 times higher than the 2001 to 2014 death years.
