The Afghan Presidential Palace has written that president Ghani has traveled to Pakistan heading a high-ranking delegation today. Mr. Ghani is attending this meeting, upon the invitation of Prime Minister Imran Khan. “The President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, headed a senior government delegation to Islamabad the capital of Pakistan this morning,” the Presidential Palace has written in a newsletter. “It is expected that Afghan delegation headed by the president will have talks with Pakistani officials on regional ties, trade and transit, security and peace. And this meeting will take place under the official invitation of Pakistan’s prime minister.”

Meanwhile, the Presidential Palace has released several images ahead of Ghani’s trip that Pakistan government and Afghanistan citizens are welcoming him in Pakistan, emphasizing that the summit is expected to be based on Mr. Ghani’s will talk on the peace. The trip is being held that at least a week ago a number of political figures and Afghan presidential candidates attend the peace process summit held by the Lahore Institute of Peace, a case that rages the citizens’ anger.
