A source close to the Revolutionary Guards said in an official statement to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards that they had been killed as a result of Iranian rocket attacks on the US military base in Iraq.

The attack also caused serious damage to a number of drones and helicopters and numerous military equipment, the agency added. In the early morning rocket attack, fifteen rockets hit the base of Ain al-Assad, none of which were intercepted by the US Terrorist Army radar system.

Despite reports from Iran’s Voice and Television News Agency, US officials have not yet confirmed the deaths or injuries of Iranian troops in the early-morning missile strike.

Iranian news agencies have claimed that the retaliation was a harsh retaliation for the killing of commander of Quds Force Corps Qassem Soleimani.

So far, the US has shown no military response to Iranian rocket attacks.
