The preliminary results of the Afghan presidential election are expected to be announced today after nearly three months’ delay, according to a report released by Radio Liberty. Esmatullah Mal, deputy head of the Afghanistan Independent Elections Commission has told media that the first results are expected to be announced today.

However, a number of Afghan presidential candidates still believe that the current election is fraudulent and will not be acceptable to them if the IEC announce any results until clear votes are not separated from cleared.
