The 28 April is equal to the victory of the Afghan Mujahedeen group in front of the Red Army or the former Soviet Union in Afghanistan, from this day, it is written in gold with all sides celebrating this day. It is believed that the efforts of the Mujahedeen and the 10-year battle of this group against the Soviet Union had led the world to testify the freedom of the various countries. Abdul Rab Rassoul Sayyaf, a former jihadist commander of the country, said: “The Mujahedeen’s attempts to defeat the Red Army in Afghanistan were a notion of a dress for the citizens of Afghanistan and the world that led to the liberation of various countries and Afghanistan was freed from communism.”

But some citizens in the country, especially the younger generation, believe that the victory of the Mujahedeen was a transit time for Afghanistan, but the Mujahedeen group could not maintain this achievement. Abdul Nasir citizen of Kabul says: “Without any doubt, it’s a mistake to judge citizens against trapping, because in most cases, imposed issues at a specific time will cause the groups to shout for their own freedom, but I must say that After winning this heavy fight, the Mujahedeen, unfortunately, was engaging in internal battles, because they inflict insanity on gaining political power, so this day is black for the new generation.”

Sayed Yassin, another resident of Kabul, said: “The victory of the Mujahedeen in the 28 of April, 1992, if it was managed by jihadist leaders, today would not have been evidence of Taliban presence in Afghanistan; this land was not a safe haven for regional terrorists. We still did not experience bad security challenges in the country. Therefore, I think that the Mujahedeen did not have any achievements, and on the contrary, all the infrastructure was eliminated in the country, the military power of Afghanistan was destroyed and now we are a weak country in the region, in spite of the fact that our country is known as the heart of Asia. But today, the heart has suffered from various diseases.”

On the 28 April 1992, the Mujahedeen group managed force the Soviet Union’s to withdraw from Afghanistan who supported the regime of Dr. Najib. But the jihadist leaders were mad of political power led to the onset of civil wars and a major disaster in Afghanistan, an issue now considered to be black day for the citizens of Afghanistan, since thousands of citizens were victimized by the war and millions of others from their homes to countries externally displaced.
