For a few days, Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, will host at least 3,000 people from all over the country to determine peace talk’s roadmap with the Taliban. Now President Ghani says peace is a priority for the national unity government and no peace agreement can be made without the approval of the House of Representatives. “Peace is a priority for the Afghan government and the people of Afghanistan, I assure all Afghan people that no agreement will be reached without a parliamentary approval for peace,” said Mr Ghani at the opening ceremony of the 17th round of the Afghan parliament. Representatives of the people must be confident that they will play a key role in the peace process.”

Mr. Ghani continues to emphasize that the Taliban have denied the will of the Afghanistan people and the scholars of the country. Mr. Ghani adds: “The peace achievements in Afghanistan has the support of the people of this land and we will strive to provide peace. But the Taliban, with a rejection of the peace process, proved that they still do not respect the will of the people of this land. ”

These statements are being made when Zalmay Khalilzad, the Special Envoy of USA for Afghanistan’s Peace, has said that the United States and its allies are trying to end the violence in Afghanistan and secure an immediate ceasefire among the parties involved in Afghanistan.
