Danish: Peace should be managed by the Afghan government

The second vice president of Afghanistan, in a meeting with the deputy US ambassador in Kabul, has stated that the Afghan government should manage the process of peace talks by their own. According to Sarwar Danish: “It is important for the Afghan government to lead the process of peace talks by their own,” he said. “We believe that the people and the Afghan government have the right to manage the peace process in their hands.”
Earlier Mohammad Omar Dawoodzai, the head of Afghan High Peace Council’s Secretariat, urged political parties to hold their second round of talks with the Taliban in Qatar until the Peace Consultative Loya Jirga would take place, which is scheduled for 29th of April this year. Meanwhile, the president of the country has said that a major factor of violence increase in the country is that the Taliban are willing to gain more concessions during their talks from the Afghan government and US administration.
