Kabul- Afghanistan (PMG):

Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmoud Quraishi is scheduled to visit Kabul on Saturday by the invitation of Salah al-Din Rabbani his Afghan counterpart. Following the creation of a new government in Pakistan, this will be the first trip of a senior Pakistani official to Kabul. According to foreign ministry officials in Islamabad, media outlets have stated that the purpose of this trip is to build confidence between the government of national unity and the newly Pakistan state.

It is expected that Mr. Quraishi will invite President Mohammed Ashraf Ghani to Pakistan in his meeting. This trip will take place in the upcoming week, while Kabul and Islamabad relations are still in the midst of tensions and it is believed that the new government of Pakistan is seeking to build confidence with Afghanistan.
