Releasing of 34 Prisoners from Taliban Prison in Baghlan Province

At least 34 prisoners were released from the Taliban cemetery in Baghlan. According to reports, Interior Ministry spokesman Nusrat Rahimi has announced that at least 34 Afghan prisoners were freed from the Taliban’s custody due to the operation of the Special Forces of the Afghan National Police in the Larkhabi area of central Baghlan district. In the interior ministry’s news agency, Mr. Rahimi also said: “Among the abandoned people are also military and civilian personnel, which include at least 7 police officers, 7 army soldiers, 3 security guards and 17 civilians. »
The Ministry of Internal Affairs has also said that civilians were not harmed during the operation. The operation is being carried out during the months that the country’s security forces have been able to release a large number of prisoners from the Taliban’s captives in various provinces of the country.
